XINE is a free multimedia player. It plays back CDs, DVDs, and VCDs. It also decodes multimedia files like AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP3 from local disk drives, and displays multimedia streamed over the Internet. It interprets many of the most common multimedia formats available, and some of the most uncommon formats, too. Is included in a lot of Linux distribution and is avalaible also for Windows. top

BASS is an audio library for use in software on several platforms. Its purpose is to provide developers with powerful and efficient sample, stream (MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, WAV, AIFF, custom generated, and more via OS codecs and add-ons), MOD music (XM, IT, S3M, MOD, MTM, UMX), MO3 music (MP3/OGG compressed MODs). BASS is free for non-commercial use and is avalaible under Windows and Linux.
To play all the file formats supported by OvoPlayer you need at least the base BASS.dll and the following addons: BASSWMA, BASSFLAC and BASS_APE top

GStreamer is a complete multimedia framework for audio and video, released under LGPL. With it's modular and plugins based architecture, it is capable of playing a lot of formats. A lot of modern Linux media players use this engine, so maybe it is already installed by your distro. top
